Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect
- Account info: full name, email address, (if signing in with Google) profile photo
- Content data: the audio you record, and the transcripts, summaries, action items, mind maps, and AI chat history generated from it
- Usage data: your monthly recording count, sign-in timestamps, your app language/color theme preference
- Calendar data: if you connect Google Calendar, the title/date/time of events you import or export (we do not access the rest of your Google Calendar)

2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the Service (transcription, summarization, reminder notifications, account management). It is not shared with third parties for advertising, and never sold.

3. AI Processing
Your audio is sent to OpenAI's APIs for transcription (Whisper) and summarization (GPT). We operate under a commercial agreement in which OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its general models - your content is not used for OpenAI's general model training.

4. Third-Party Service Providers
Your audio files are stored encrypted on Cloudflare; email notifications are sent via Resend; if you sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google. These providers are subject to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your data via the Settings screen or by emailing support@notedapp.com. [PLACEHOLDER: users in the EU/under GDPR may need "data portability" and "right to object to processing" listed separately once target markets are finalized.]

7. Sign in with Google and Calendar
When you sign in with Google, we only receive your name, email, and profile photo. If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we only access the specific events you import or export - we never see or store the rest of your calendar. You can revoke these permissions at any time from your Google account settings.

8. Notifications
Meeting reminder notifications are scheduled entirely on your device, locally - no extra data is sent to our servers for these.

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at users under 13; users aged 13-18 may use it with parental/guardian consent.

10. Changes
This policy may be updated periodically; you will be notified in-app of material changes.
